i’m not sure, but i think this site has the answer to this particular question. they’ve got lots of stuff about this anyway.
Depends on whether they have diversified holdings in real estate as well.
You are correct. I don’t think either of them are making any money. The mortgage industry is crashing. The housing market is in a slump. Nobody is buying or refinancing. People in both jobs are getting out quick. My company closed it’s doors. I’m faced with a decision to work in a call center at a large lender for $24,000 / yr. or take my chances with a 100% commission position.
This is a battle I fight all the time. People get the two confused. A REALTOR finds you a HOUSE and takes care of the paperwork reguarding the purchase price, etc. A MORTGAGE broker finds the MONEY or LOAN PROGRAM to FINANCE the house. I am a mortgage Loan Officer and I am always getting people wanting me to find them a home. I do have realtors that I can refer them to, but we do not look for the HOUSES.
